The school Medical Clinic, formally known as San, is a well-equipped, self-contained, six bed-unit. There are specific clinic times throughout the day which the pupils are encouraged to adhere to but there is 24-hour cover, seven days a week during term time, provided by experienced, qualified nurses.
The medical clinic works on an appointment only system, except for emergencies.

Doctor
Dr Alex Khourie, a local GP, is the school’s Medical Officer. He provides a clinic on Tuesday afternoons in the school. Pupils can also have appointments made at his own practice on other days.
Medical Records
All parents or guardians must complete a medical questionnaire about their child before the child starts as a pupil. It is vital for the child’s health and welfare that we know all past and present medical history including allergies, vaccinations hospital admissions, hospital treatment, behavioural or psychological problems. Records are held securely in San.
Confidentiality
In accordance with the school doctor’s/nurse’s professional obligations, medical information about pupils will remain confidential. However, in providing medical/nursing care it is recognised that the doctor/nurse may liaise with parents or guardians, the head teacher or other academic staff and that information, ideally with the pupils’ consent will be passed on as appropriate.
With all matters, the doctor/nurse will respect a pupil’s confidence except on the very rare occasions when, the doctor/nurse considers it in the pupil’s best interests, or necessary for the protection of the wider school community, to breach confidence and pass information on to a relevant person or body.
Other Services
Physiotherapy/Counselling
