Location of the College

Take the N11 southbound following signs for Wexford, passing the Montrose, Radisson and Stillorgan Park hotels on your left. About 2km past the Stillorgan Park Hotel, turn right at the next major set of traffic lights (Whites Cross junction) onto the R113 (Leopardstown Road). At the roundabout just past the entrance to Leopardstown Racecourse, take the second exit (continuation of Leopardstown Road, R113), go straight through set of traffic lights with Bewley's Hotel on your left, keep left at the next large roundabout following sign for Sandyford/Stepaside (R113) (do not go onto the M50), then take second exit off next small roundabout (continuation of the R113).

Continue straight through two more sets of lights, passing Lamb Doyles pub on your left. The road then widens for a short while and you can see the M50 motorway underneath. At the next set of lights, turn left onto College Road, keeping the motorway on your left hand side. Continue to the end of College Road (T-junction), turn left passing under the motorway fly-over, and left again at the little roundabout onto Kilmashogue Lane. St. Columba's College is on the left about 50 metres up Kilmashogue Lane.

Alternatively go to Terenure via Rathgar and follow the road to Rathfarnham. At the Yellow House pub turn right, then left at the Tuning Fork pub, and follow the winding road to Whitechurch (Grange Golf Club on your left). Take the first exit off the roundabout, past Whitechurch National School, then straight on under the fly-over for the Southern Cross motorway and left at the little roundabout. The College is on the left about 50 metres up Kilmashogue Lane.

On leaving Dublin Airport, follow the signs for City Centre and then exit at the first junction marked M50 (this is the ring-road motorway around Dublin). When on the M50 motorway (Southbound), go through the toll bridge and continue until Junction 13, exiting the motorway when you see the sign for Sandyford and Dundrum. Keep left as you come down the hill towards a large roundabout, following the sign for Rathfarnham onto Brehon Field Road. (This will take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.)

**Continue straight along Brehon Field Road until you reach the third set of traffic lights; filter left onto Grange Road (following sign for Leopardstown/Dun Laoghaire) and turn right at the set of traffic lights in front of Taylors Three Rock pub onto College Road. Continue to the end of College Road (T-junction), turn left passing under the motorway fly-over and left again at the roundabout onto Kilmashogue Lane. St. Columba???s College is on the left about 50 metres up the hill (Kilmashogue Lane).

Exit M50 Northbound at Junction 13 (Sandyford/Dundrum, R113), go through traffic lights and take second exit (Ballinteer). Stay in right-hand lane as you come down the hill towards a roundabout and take second exit (Rathfarnham/Dundrum/Sandyford). You immediately come across another large roundabout at which you take the first exit, following the sign for Rathfarnham onto Brehon Field Road - then please follow directions as per above paragraph.**

Leaving the College gates, turn right down the hill to a small roundabout, take the second exit off roundabout onto Whitechurch Road. Follow the narrow, winding road until you come to a small roundabout. Take the second exit off this (following the main road), go straight ahead through the traffic lights (Grange Golf Club is on your right) and continue until you reach a T-junction (a pub called the Tuning Fork is on your left), then turn right. Go left at the next T-junction with the Yellow House pub on the left-hand side, and a large church on the right, passing Rathfarnham Castle on the right hand side.

Go straight on until you reach the canal, continue on the same road and eventually you will see St. Patrick's Cathedral ahead. At the junction you can continue towards Christ Church and the quays for the Northside of Dublin, or turn right towards St. Stephen's Green. Turn right at Christ Church Cathedral towards Dublin Castle and Trinity College.
