Leaving Certificate 2012
I am pleased to announce the Leaving Certificate results for 2012 from St. Columba’s College. Once again, our pupils and their teachers have been outstandingly successful in these exams, achieving an average points score at all levels of 451 points per candidate.
As will be evident from the statistical analysis accompanying this statement, our average points score compares favourably with those of recent years as well as national averages:
448 (2011)
459 (2010)
445 (2009)
In 2012:
4% of all candidates achieved the maximum 625 points (In fact of these, three candidates scored a total of more than 800 points and one scored 775 points.)
7% of all candidates achieved 600+ points
34% of all candidates achieved 500+ points
74% of all candidates achieved 400+ points
88% of all candidates achieved 300+ points
The overall range of points scored was from 130 - 625 I would like to congratulate our pupils on their outstanding results and to thank my colleagues who have worked so hard on their behalf. Well done to all!
